Education

• Associate Degree in Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT (Melbourne, Australia)

• Bachelor of Arts (with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Linguistics) from Melbourne University.

In-house experience:
I have worked in editorial departments in the following types of publishing houses:

• educational (Insight Publications)

• trade (internships at Penguin Random House and Hardie Grant)

• medical (the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners)

• boutique (Visible Ink, Ilura Press and Tincture Journal).

My favourite bit was always cracking open the box of books fresh off the printer (and praying not to see a typo!)

Freelancing
I have helped many writers get their book babies out into the world. Seeing writers hold a physical copy of their hard work is my greatest joy (especially if there is a book launch party involved!)

Professional memberships:
I am a Professional Member of  IPEd (the Institute of Professional Editors Limited).

In life outside of books, I love surf, snow, dogs, teaching yoga, and finding magic in raising two little people. Do we share a vibe?
